Fear. Every person on planet Earth has struggled with fear at one time or the other. We live in a world that dictates every action and reaction on fear. The Bible has a lot to say on the subject- there are 365 verses on fear, which is enough to study the topic out for one whole year! I don’t think it is a coincidence that there is so much that the Bible says about fear.
My Battle With Fear
Fear is a battle for me. I struggle with anxiety and worry, and have since I was a little girl. I worry about things I can’t control. I deal with anxiety when I travel. It is very real in my life. The only way that I have been able to control the fear that can be almost crippling at time is by studying the very word of God. I memorize verses about fear, and focus on God being my strength, my help and my peace. Without God’s Word, I would live a life crippled by fear.
Maybe you don’t struggle with fear. However, we all know have fears some time or the other. That is why I think this topic is a vital one to meditate on this month for our scripture writing challenge.
Fear Scripture Writing Challenge: Adult
Looking for just the scriptures so that you can write them in your journal? Look no longer!
Fear Scripture Writing Challenge: Youth
Children struggle with fear too. We need to help equip them to know how to overcome fear. This month, use our scripture writing challenge in your homeschool or during your family devotions.
One way we use the scripture writing challenge in our home is by using it as copy work for our homeschool. We also use it for family devotion time. The children write the passage during the day for school, and they have all day to think about it. Then, at dinner, we have a discussion about the verse! It works really great for this – and nothing too fancy is needed!
