If you just look at the name of my blog, you might think it is about music. I have always loved music – from a young age. However, the name of my blog actaully means that we can worship God as a part of our every day life- and that we don’t need muic to do it.
However, I love good worship music. Often, when I am writing or studying scripture, I am listening to praise music. It lifts my soul. It reminds me of how mighty my God is.
The following review is my own. I was not paid for this review, I only received the CD for reviewing purposes.
A new favorite CD of mine is Kristine Dimarco’s Mighty. This CD has tons of great songs that are pulled straight from scritpture, and point us back to the God himself.
I am very picky about my worship music. I don’t want it to be about me – I want it to be about Him. That is one of the reasons I love this CD.
All 11 of the songs on this CD point right back to God. From talking about the Love of Jesus in Jesus, Your Love, to Eyes on You – it reminds us that our focus should be on Christ.
My favorite song is a version of It is Well. As we have been walking through our road of adoption and adoption loss, this song has spoken healing over me.
Through it all, through it all, my eyes are on you.
Through it all, through it all it is well.
Through it all, through it all, my eyes are on you
And it is well with me.
So let go, my soul, and trust in Him. The waves and wind still know his name.
