Does your family like peanut butter? Mine does. In fact, I made the mistake of running out of peanut butter the other day. (I know, shocker!) 🙂 We almost always have a jar open, and also a backup. It was partly my fault for the disappearing peanut butter. I made this peanut butter fruit dip and scraped the bottom of the jar while making it.
They didn’t seem to mind the lack of peanut butter when they tasted this dip.
This peanut butter fruit dip is creamy, sweet and tastes great with many, many different types of fruit. Apples slices, strawberries and grapes all match this dip perfectly.
I think I am going to make this for our youngest’s birthday party. We have a large family party for him and I know this dip will be well liked. I also think this fruit dip would make a great dip to put into school lunch boxes. (Make sure your school doesn’t have a no peanut butter policy first!)
This fruit dip was a cinch to make. You can choose to use low fat cream cheese for a lighter dip. You can also choose to use creamy or crunchy peanut butter. We use crunchy peanut butter 90% of the time so that is what I used. I thought it added a nice depth and crunch to the fruit dip.
If you wanted to add a twist to it, you could add miniature M&M’s to the dip. That would be a colorful (and eye catching) ingredient. And really, doesn’t chocolate go great in anything?
