Happy Mother’s Day!
I am so thankful to be a mom. It is a privilege and an honor from the Lord. However, it isn’t always easy.
Some days, I feel like I am in the trenches. I am dirty and worn, fighting a never ending battle of laundry, sibling fights, and character training. The mornings are early, the nights are late, and I am often left with battle scars. However, I remember I am fighting an eternal battle, making everlasting investments, and pointing my children to the arms and heart of their savior.
Then, there are days that I feel like I have the best job ever – and I have three small voices reminding me that I truly am the best. No matter what the world may think about my choices, I am reminded that they are mine to make – with the guidance of the Lord. I am training up my children in the way they should go – and no one but the Lord knows that way. He has made me the Mama for these sweet babies- I am the right one. He will guide and direct my husband and I as we train them. I am the best for the job.
His voice gently tells me that He has given me the job to teach them diligently. To guide them in all truth.
It requires me to be brave – to be bold- and to be me. Just the one He created for the job of mothering these blessings
The same is true for you, sweet Mama friend. He has given you the same job – yet it is for the blessings in your life. The future ones that He might place in your path.
So, I have a Mother’s Day gift for you. It is simple, but it is from my heart.
This book is normally 2.99 – but for Mother’s Day – it is .99! It will go back to 2.99 Tuesday after Mother’s Day! !You can get one by heading over to my store and getting your very own copy!
Mother’s Day isn’t always easy. Some of us have lost mothers. Some of us have lost children. I am thankful every day for the three that made me Mama – and pray for them as they miss being with their Mama in Heaven. I think of my sweet little one, who we never got to hold, in the arms of her Mama today. My heart still grieves for her – and for the one that is meant for our family.
My prayer is that, wherever you are at, you will feel the love and grace of the arms of your Savior this Mother’s Day.
